There are just too many things to mention that I appreciate about, The Stampers’ Sampler magazine, but to name a few here on my blog, I will say: the selection of stamped handmade cards and varied artists is mind-boggling; the emphasis on the number of cards typically included in each issue rising above 250; and the focus on the cards filling up the magazine rather than advertising clutter is what draws me to it the most. As a card artist there is an explosion of handmade card ideas under one roof with Stampington and Co's two stamping sister publications - Take Ten & The Stampers’ Sampler.
One very special feeling a card artist can experience, when published, is if your cards are selected for the “Feature” department. This usually means a spread over a few pages focusing in on details of the theme and idea surrounding your creations and a larger visual. With the hundreds of submissions they receive per deadline you never know if your art makes it in until you receive your artist’s complimentary copy. In the latest issue of Stamper’s Sampler Oct/Nov/Dec/2015 several of my cards were included but these three made Feature. My gasps of shock and excitement still linger as I am surrounded by such beautiful work and designs of so many talented artists.
