Why is it ok for children to follow their dreams? We are all still children, just older children with the same dreams.

Why do we dream dreams? What separates a GOAL from a DREAM? Are they not one in the same? Do we need to have both goals and dreams? Why does one dream seem impossible and the other manageable. Why is it we see others as 'living the dream' while we seem to struggle to have one simple dream or one simple goal realized into our life? Are good things that happen to us considered luck or did we actually will them into our lives with concentrated effort. And - when it comes to effort are we talking about physical labour or time spent in a meditative, self-accepting process as effort in realizing our dreams. Which is the way to go about achieving and realizing everything we want to be part of our life experience. Does it happen all at once or when we are ready for it. Are we already 'living the dream' but aren’t aware of it?
It can be so confusing when I need, want or desire something in my life. I want to attach a label to it for purity of understanding how I can reach, create or have something I desire to appear into my life.
Is it possible that it is me who stands in my own way in pursuit of my goals or dreams? The universe in all its wisdom and abundant resources teaches me that a full, happy and beautiful life are there just for the taking, the asking, and the believing.
At the best of times life can be unfair. Each day brings with it new challenges on the outside and struggles on the inside or possibly both at the same time. It can be enough just to get through my day in one piece. Creativity and art make my days more engaging and life more exciting.
A goal is something that can be managed in actual increments of effort over time. A dream by (my) definition is the wild abandon of an unimaginable thought or desire that I will automatically consider beyond any possibility of ever coming true into my reality.
Goals are based in fact and reality and dreams are founded in faith, trust and in the unseen possibilities.
I do know that without dreams and goals my existence would be rather boring and uneventful. It is the pursuit of something greater or larger or better that has me excited to greet each day as an adventure in understanding me, just that bit more. Whether I meet up with my dreams or goals or don't it is about having the drive to try to get closer with every action I take.
