With YELLOW as my colour of focus these days I continue to observe it everywhere around me. Until this focusing adventure I would definitely have overlooked yellow in design. Using it in creative projects is probably obvious to some but I certainly don't come by yellow naturally. I would have used it in the past only due to a suggestion by another artist or in a challenge requiring yellow as part of the design. I gravitate toward purples and blues almost always. Although I am never bored of this combination I suppose it limits my colour palette and over time would also limit my self-expression and growth as an artist.
As part of Jennifer Grace Creates - Focus Your Craft and Soul Event I felt inspired to focus, literally, with my camera. Thanks to Daphne's take, on Jennifer's event, to focus with the lens, I decided to dust off my camera and photograph all things yellow.
Documenting yellow with the camera helps me learn and remember and pay attention to all things yellow. There is a world full of yellow inspiration with every step I take. It is starting to work its way into my being and into my soul. I am certain it will rise up in my creative works very soon. Thanks Jennifer for your world wind tour of an event on how to stay focused with crafting. Finally I am focused on understanding colour and yellow as my first stop on the colour wheel. And thanks to Daphne for the push to start taking photos again.
